Establishment:
Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority was established by virtue of the Emiri Decree of 2007 issued by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi (may God have mercy on him) in April 2007 and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah (may God protect him).The vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi for development and his economic ambitions for enlightenment had a clear impact in establishing and sponsoring the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority and following up on every small and big thing in the renaissance process and his insightful vision to achieve transportation with the highest specifications.
Today we see the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority following in the footsteps of the authorities in other emirates, and rising to high levels in transportation service.

Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority is a public authority affiliated with the Ras Al Khaimah government and has a legal personality. It is concerned with organizing, legislating, developing and advancing the transportation sector in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It also grants the right of concession to companies with extensive experience in this field for the purpose of development and providing a distinguished service with high specifications in the emirate.
Ras Al Khaimah Transport Holding
Providing, developing and monitoring the transportation sector and passenger movement inside and outside the emirate. We also seek to facilitate all activities related to transportation by finding appropriate solutions with the development around us, as well as setting controls for licenses for vehicle rental offices, school buses and private companies.

Al Hamra Taxi:
Al Hamra Taxi was established in January 2008 in partnership with Cars Taxi Company, where the total number of taxis operating in Al Hamra Taxi Company reached 600 vehicles, and passenger transportation services were provided by Al Hamra Taxi vehicles exclusively at Ras Al Khaimah Airport.
Al Hamra Bus:
Based on the Authority’s keenness to provide multiple and distinguished services and diversify the means of transportation in the emirate, the Authority has made continuous efforts to establish and develop Al Hamra Bus, believing in the necessity of providing various means of transportation. Therefore, the Authority has partnered with one of the companies in the field of public transportation and sought to provide the finest buses to keep transportation in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah applying the Authority’s slogan
“Transportation with the highest specifications.”
Cars Taxi:
Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority has granted the right to franchise and the necessary facilities to Cars Taxi Company to invest and operate 500 taxis in the emirate. Al Arabiya Taxi: Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority seeks to work and cooperate with national and international companies in accordance with the Authority’s terms and conditions. Al Arabiya Taxi was one of the franchise companies contracted with the Authority to operate more than 500 taxis in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
